The High Level Event on Transformative Action for Nature and Peoples will take place in the margins of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly and will feature presentations by government leaders and partners on their transformative initiatives, policies and financing to halt and reverse biodiversity loss by 2030.
The event is hosted by a cross-regional group of including Antigua & Barbuda, AOSIS, Belgium, Bhutan, Colombia, Costa Rica, EU, France, Gabon, UK, Vietnam, as well as their partners, the Convention on Biological Diversity, National Geographic & Campaign for Nature, Nature 4 Life Hub, UNEP, UNDP, and the World Wide Fund for Nature. The event aims to, among other things, garner leaders’ commitments and showcase specific and transformative actions with a whole of government approach, to protect, conserve, sustainably use and restore nature to mobilize the necessary means of implementation.
