56% of Pakistanis lost weight in Ramazan – GWC Mag

More than half of Pakistanis say they have lost weight during Ramazan, but nearly 4 in 10 Pakistanis say their weight has not changed.

This was found in a Gallup Pakistan survey. More than a thousand people participated in it from across the country, which was conducted between March 18 and 25, 2024.

In the survey, 56 percent of Pakistanis said that they had lost weight during Ramazan. They said that their weight had decreased positively due to fasting, but 7 percent complained of weight gain despite fasting.

Over 35 percent said that there was no difference in their weight while 2pc did not give any answer to this question.

According to Gallup Pakistan, people between the ages of 30 and 50 reported the highest weight loss, making the ratio 58pc.

Over 53 percent under the age of 30 while 52 percent over the age of 50 included in the survey lost weight.
