CenTrak launches cloud real-time location platform for healthcare – GWC Mag

US-based company CenTrak has launched a new cloud-based software platform, called ‘Connect’, designed to enhance the capabilities of real-time location systems (RTLS) in healthcare industry.  

This platform is set to offer a secure, scalable cloud environment that simplifies system management and supports healthcare organisations in improving patient outcomes and operational efficiency. 

According to CenTrak, Connect’s cloud-based nature offers a high-performance environment with the added benefits of reduced setup and maintenance costs, compared to traditional server-based systems. 

The company said its Connect platform represents a significant advancement in RTLS software, financial optimisation, and staff safety. 

The platform has a unified dashboard and Single Sign-On capabilities, positioning Connect as a centralised hub for easy access to CenTrak’s applications and management tools.  

A consistent user interface across Connect aims to streamline navigation.  

Connect further consolidates key administrative functions, including user management and device configurations, facilitating better control and management for healthcare facilities. 

It also ensures automatic updates, a multi-tenant secure environment with advanced encryption, timely security audits and compliance with regulations such as Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act. 

‘Workflow’ and ‘Hand Hygiene’ are the two inaugural software-as-a-service (SaaS) applications currently available on Connect.  

Hand Hygiene, CenTrak’s hand hygiene compliance monitoring solution, utilises a data-driven approach to enhance infection control practices, offering detailed compliance reporting for healthcare organisations.
