Cullinan Properties Completes $100M Mental Health Clinic For Veterans In Florida – GWC Mag

Owner, operator, and developer Cullinan Properties (Tampa, Fla.) completed Tampa VA Mental Health Center, a $100 million mental health clinic for veterans in Temple Terrace, Fla. It replaces three outdated mental health clinics both on and off the James A. Haley Veterans’ Hospital  campus.

Situated on 20 acres, the new two-story, 150,000-square-foot facility houses a clinic with 265 consult rooms, 60 inpatient beds, an activities courtyard, full-service kitchen, dining room, and social activities room with access to computer education. The facility also has 800 parking stalls.

The project broke ground in late 2021 and is expected to begin welcoming patients in January 2024.

The project achieved a two-globe score from the Green Building Initiative’s Green Globes New Construction program, which recognizes a project’s commitment to environmental sustainability and the health and wellness of its occupants.

Leo A Daly (Atlanta) provided full design services, including medical planning, architectural, Green Globes design, interior design, structural engineering, and MEP services; Hoar Construction (Birmingham, Ala.) was the general contractor for the project; and Prosser Inc. (Jacksonville, Fla.) was the civil engineer.
