Fall is a bit different this year, but there are still safe ways for families to usher in autumn. Please check with each location and event before you go to ensure you have the latest Covid updates and guidelines.

Fall Adventures around the DMV made easy with our Reviews and 2020 Calendar Events

Sharp’s at Waterford Farm

Beat the crowds with weekday fun at Sharp’s Farm or enjoy the family friendly weekend events. Take a hayride to pick your own pumpkins and pet the farm animals. Farm store has snacks and enjoy pizza on weekends. There is plenty of room to social distance and masks are required.

Gaver Farm Fall Fun Festival

Weekday and weekend fall fun with tons of family friendly attractions and pick your own pumpkins. Don’t miss the apple cider donuts and pumpkin donut holes. Get your tickets online with timed entry. Masks required in the farm store.

Pumpkin Village Fall Fest

All the fun of Pumpkin Village Fall Fest with extra safety precautions. Pet the animals and enjoy family attractions. The large property makes social distancing easy.

Larriland Farm

Pick your own pumpkin on weekends in October or a pumpkin hayride on weekdays in October.

Summer’s Farm

Enjoy Corn Maze, Pumpkin Patch, 45+ activities, fireworks, finger-lickin’ good food and more. Tickets are required.

Green Meadows Petting Farm

Check out the Trail of Jack O’Lanterns with Trick Or Treating. There are tons of family activities including Pig Races, Feeding the Animals (FREE feed) and Hayrides.

Montpelier Farms

Online advanced tickets are require for entrance to the Fall Festival full of family attractions & activities, seasonal treats and farm market. They are also now open for Weekday Playdays from Monday thru Thursday from 10am till 7pm with limited attractions.

Homestead Farm

Homestead Farm offers families a laid back pick your own experience. They will not be running hayrides this year, but the pumpkin patch and market are open daily, but the refreshment stand is open Saturday & Sunday only.

Cox Farms

The Cox Farms Fall Festival and Fields of Fear have been canceled for 2020. The Cox Farms self-driven “hayride” and a drive-through market will be open.

Butler’s Orchard

Pumpkin Harvest Days and pick your own pumpkins are open for 2020. Plan ahead and get your tickets early because tickets sell out quickly.

Clark’s Elioak Farm

Pick a child-sized pumpkin from the patch, participate in the Halloween Costume Parade or try your hand at Pumpkin Chucking. For 2020 purchase your tickets online before coming to the farm.

Winterbrook Farms

Check out Maryland’s Largest Corn Maze and over 20 fun fall activities such as Mountain Slides, a U-Pick pumpkin patch, Mini Ziplines, Farm Animals, Apple Cannons, Pedal Karts & more.

Rock Hill Orchard

Visits to the dairy, corn maze, pumpkin field and pumpkin cannon will be limited to apple pickers on Saturdays and Sundays. Shop at the market or visit calves on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

Milburn Orchards

Visit Milburn Orchards for 3 day Fall Fun Weekends with a special theme for each weekend, offering families lots of variety and fun activities. Pre-purchased online tickets required.

Baugher’s Orchards

Fall Harvest Festival is every weekend in October full of family farm fun including hayrides, pumpkin patch, petting zoo and seasonal treats.

Weber’s Cider Mill Farm

Purchase tickets for the Fall Harvest Days and Barnyard activities online in advance. Enjoy tons of family fun and seasonal treats with timed entry. Kids under two are free. There will NOT be a hayride or Boo Barn this year.

Markoff’s Haunted Forest

This area classic fright is back with timed entry and group tickets. You’ll be terrified of everything BUT Covid at Markoff’s Haunted Forest. We recommend for BRAVE kids 13 and older or for a parents night out.

Pumpkin Sensory Activity

If you’re staying home you can get little hands on pumpkin guts and seeds to promote exploration and encourage children to use scientific processes while they play, create, investigate and explore!

Boo at the Zoo

The 2020 version of Boo at the Zoo keeps everyone safe in their cars with the Boo Drive Thru. (Edited: All passes sold out for 2020)

Enchanted Forest

The Enchanted Forest is canceled for 2020, but check back for updates on their return in 2021.

Jack’s Pumpkin Glow

Jack’s Pumpkin Glow is canceled for 2020, but we can’t wait to see Jack back in 2021.
