New Parkas Aplenty from The North Face – GWC Mag

The North Face’s new Parka Collection includes the throwback ’73 The North Face Parka, the does-it-all McMurdo Parka and the Arctic Bomber.

’73 The North Face Parka

A throwback ’70s design meets contemporary tech with the ’73 The North Face Parka (available for men or women). Highly wind-resistant WindWall fabrics and 600-fill recycled down help make those icy mountain gusts easier to handle. With a removable hood and water-repellent finish, this retro-inspired parka is engineered for the harshest elements. We especially like the oversized pockets, perfect for extra hat, gloves and so much more.

Men’s McMurdo Parka

The McMurdo Parka, TNF’s longest men’s coat, has a long list of must-have deets. It is windproof, waterproof, breathable, insulated with 600-fill recycled down, and boasts the coziest removable faux-fur hood trim. The shell and the lining are both recycled poly, with non-PFC DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish. What’s not to love?

Women’s Arctic Bomber

As a new addition to the Arctic Parka line, the Women’s Arctic Bomber incorporates all of the same warm, waterproof, breathable features, but in a slightly shorter silhouette. With 100% recycled DryVent body fabric, 600-fill recycled down insulation and faux-fur hood trim, this jacket has the city-ready aesthetics to tackle whatever winter chucks your way.
