Primary Care Medical Partners selects eClinicalWorks’ AI technology – GWC Mag

Primary Care Medical Partners, a multispecialty clinic serving areas around El Paso, Ciudad Juárez, and Las Cruces, Texas, has chosen eClinicalWorks‘ artificial intelligence (AI)-driven electronic health record (EHR) solutions and Sunoh.ai to enhance clinical workflows and reduce physician burnout.

This integration aims to streamline administrative tasks and improve patient interactions, according to Primary Care Medical Partners doctor Martha Y. Montanez.

The clinic, offering services including behavioural, preventive medicine, and chronic disease management, is focused on reducing the administrative burden on its healthcare providers.

Dr. Montanez said: “One of the leading causes of burnout is managing administrative tasks; it reduces productivity and takes focus away from patient care. AI-enabled features that save time on clinical documentation and help reduce the workload are of great interest to us.

“By leveraging the new eClinicalWorks AI-driven EHR system and Sunoh.ai, we hope to achieve consistency across clinical workflows, save providers time on clinical documentation, and enhance patient engagement.”

The adoption of eClinicalWorks’ advanced AI solutions is expected to bring consistency to clinical workflows and save time on documentation.

The AI enhancements, part of the eClinicalWorks V12 system, include generative AI for conversational EHRs, image AI for document routing, and speech AI for transcriptions, all of which contribute to streamlining tasks and improving efficiency. Predictive models within the system also aim to identify appointments with a high risk of no-show, further optimising healthcare delivery.

The move by Primary Care Medical Partners reflects a growing trend in the healthcare sector towards leveraging AI technology.

Last month, Empathic Podiatry adopted eClinicalWorks’ cloud EHR and revenue cycle management solutions while Southern Illinois Associates deployed the company’s cloud EHR system for its advanced behavioural health module.
