In similar vein to Is it ok to recycle glass bottles and jars with paper stickers on them?, I sometimes end up with pieces of plastic that have paper stickers on them. One common occurrence for me is buying packaged food that expires within the coming days which as such has had a paper label slapped on it by the store to indicate that it’s discounted for this reason. If I remove the paper label, there is still some glue residue. I tried searching for this and I found sources saying that plastic combined with glue can be dangerous and should be sorted as such rather than being recycled due to glue commonly containing toxic ingredients.
With that in mind, I’m wondering, can I recycle plastic with glued paper labels on it?
