Nobody makes illuminating gizmos like BioLite—a Climate-Neutral Certified company specializing in off-grid lighting solutions.

BioLite AlpenGlow Mini

Bright, easy to use, and flexible to set up, the AlpenGlow Mini is a perfect compact lantern for the campsite and beyond. ChromaReal LEDs deliver warm but precise lighting while multicolour modes bring the ambiance. (We especially like the Colour Cycling mode where the lantern cycles through a range of hues including purple, pink and green.)

We also like the integrated bungee strap that allows you to affix the lantern to tentpoles, branches and, well, pretty much anything. And the whole thing weighs less than 100g and fits in your palm.

The AlpenGlow is IPX4-rated, which means it can handle dew and rain. For best protection against the elements, keep the port securely closed with the rubber door.

BioLite Charge 80 PD Powerbank

The peppy Charge 80 PD features USB-C Power Delivery for faster, more flexible charging for compatible tablets, phones, cameras and even laptops. The ultra-compact design is easily packable and ready for travel or life away from an outlet. The Charge 80 PD is well-suited to paddling or backpacking trips where every ounce counts.

The Charge PD series uses both USB-C PD and Quick Charge 3.0. That means you can charge up to 18W using the type C port and up to 15W using the type A port. (A standard USB port will only deliver 5W.)

You won’t find a more compact powerbank that delivers this much oomph. And if you’re taking it to cold places, the approved operating temperature of the Charge PD series is -20C to 40C.

BioLite HeadLamp 425

This 425-lumen USB-C rechargeable HeadLamp is super bright and comfortable. Featuring 3D SlimFit Construction, a front profile of only 10mm, and weighing only 78 grams, this light sits flush and stays put so you forget you’re wearing it. Perfect for night missions on the trail or around the campsite.

BioLite’s fit innovation is to integrate the electronics directly into the band to create a single unit that moves with you. The result? The most comfortable and functional wearable light out there.

Our favorite feature of all BioLite headlamps is the articulating front bezel, allowing you to micro-angle your light by hand to where you need it. We also appreciate the lock button to prevent the light from accidentally turning on in your pack. And we found the rear red light indispensable for Nordic group night skiing so your friends can keep track of you and avoid collisions.
