Walgreens Village MD To Exit Florida Market – GWC Mag

Urgent and primary care chain Village MD, majority owned by Walgreens Boots Alliance (Chicago), announced plans to close approximately 40 clinics in Florida and exit the market by March 15, according to the website beckershospitalreview.com.

The move is part of Walgreens’ plan to cut at least $1 billion in costs, according to the article.

The news comes after VillageMD announced in December that it would close 12 clinics in Indiana and leave the market.

VillageMD operates 51 clinic locations in Florida, 14 of which are currently closed.
