Three of Helly Hansen’s latest pieces, casual and backcountry.
Isfjord Insulated Shacket
Available for men and women, the Isfjord is part shirt, part jacket and all comfort (plus warmth). This layering or everyday-wear piece is made with PrimaLoft Black Eco insulation (with post-consumer recycled material) and organic cotton. And for convenience, there’s a chest pocket with snap buttons on the inside plus hand pockets and an adjustable cuff with snap buttons, too. This is a handy layer for town, country or anything in between.

Elevation Infinity Bib Pant
Check these bibs (available for men or women) with Helly Hansen’s game-changer LIFA Infinity Pro: waterproof/breathable protection made without harsh chemicals and never needs to be reproofed with a chemical treatment. They’re built to withstand unlimited backcountry punishment, with 3-layer construction, snow gaiters and multiple ventilation zippers on the sides and front (for quick and easy in-the-field opening with gloves). The articulated knees will never inhibit your movement and the adjustable elastic suspenders are comfortable for the longest days. We also like the multiple cargo pockets big enough to stow everything from an extra beanie and liner gloves to a GPS and energy gels.

Once you’ve worn a bib shell, you’ll never want to go back to a standard shell/snow pant. With a bib you never have to worry about your pant riding low or letting snow/cold air in. And the fact that the shell extends up to your chest adds another layer of protection.

Odin BC Infinity Shell Jacket
This tough-as-nails three-layer shell jacket is built for high-intensity outdoor pursuits like ski touring, where breathability and moisture management are paramount. Available for men and women, it features the above-mentioned LIFA Infinity technology, providing pro-grade waterproof/breathable performance without any added chemical treatments. Designed in collaboration with backcountry athletes, it features an opening in the front to access your midlayer, beacon harness and the stow pocket without opening the front zipper. Pair with the Odin Backcountry Infinity Shell Pants (men’s and women’s). Together, the Odin BC Infinity kit is ready for every type of weather the mountain can throw at you, from downpours to cold whipping winds. And we can vouch for the toughness of the shell material, which will stand up to the sharpest branches in the gnarliest glades out there.

Small but smart details include a front zipper that’s slightly to the side for easier access and pit zip ventilation easy to engage with gloved hands make this jacket less cluttered around the face and ideal for breathability. RECCO® reflectors are searchable in the wilderness while the well-placed chest pocket is compatible with a backpack. And a detail like the open mesh pockets on the inside to keep gloves warm while putting on and taking off skins? Clearly the result of true backcountry athlete input.
