Vermont is already experiencing firsthand the increasingly damaging impacts of climate change, including devastating flooding, damaged infrastructure, polluted air, and more. These are complex and intersectional challenges – but the state has an opportunity to advance pivotal policy solutions to address these issues. Join Vermont Conservation Voters and 18 partner organizations on Wednesday, January 10th at 11:00am for the unveiling of the 2024 Environmental Common Agenda. This collaboratively-developed agenda outlines our shared priorities for a healthier and more resilient Vermont this legislative session. This year’s Environmental Common Agenda emphasizes the need to build climate resilience and reduce pollution with policies to advance clean energy, improve watershed protections, enhance dam safety, hold fossil fuel companies accountable, advance smart growth housing solutions, reduce toxic chemical exposure, and more.
